Here are 4 things I was thinking about a lot in October when it comes to selling on Amazon and using AI:
1. Trust - The operator is usually the one getting in their own way. I was guilty of this, and when I removed my own limitations I realized how much my agents can do for me. Usually this comes with more reps, more usage, and back and forth, just like anything else.
2. Simplicity - I leaned hard on Town last month because I was in my hometown for the month, extending summer. I did not build as much as I would have liked, but I was able to leverage an out-of-the-box tool that helped me take care of 75%-90% of the tasks needed for my clients. Back to building this month, I have a long list that accumulated.
3. Fewer agents - Everyone is bragging about running 30+ agents. More agents just means more handoffs over the same data, and adding people to a late project makes it later. I run mine lean: one agent per area (ads, listings/catalog) plus my right hand man that coordinates and checks the work. I spend less time debugging agents talking to each other and more time on the actual client work.
4. Agents shop too - Amazon's own shopping assistant is answering buyer questions, so a listing gets read by an agent before a human does. In October I ran baselines asking it questions about products, then rewrote the bullets and specs so it answers correctly. It gave me a new way to audit listings and a new thing to offer clients. Oh and either now or soon you can text with it.. Amazon going horizontal is interesting but not surprising.
