We took over a vitamin brand with a 31.84% TACoS.
Less than 3 weeks later, it was under 10%.
The biggest issue?
Too much budget going toward keywords that were getting plenty of clicks but barely bringing in orders.
Some were even sitting at over 100% ACoS.
But we didn't just pause everything. That could have hurt sales in the process.
Instead, we cleaned things up gradually.
We adjusted bids, paused campaigns that weren't contributing much, added negative keywords, and shifted budget toward keywords already bringing in consistent orders.
And the results?
→ TACoS dropped below 10%.
→ Sales stayed steady, then reached an all-time high.
→ We freed up budget for new campaigns.
Now the client has actually approved a higher TACoS target so we can focus on scaling again.
Because the goal isn't always to get TACoS as low as possible. It's to grow profitably.
Sometimes you don't need to spend less.
You just need to be smarter about where your budget goes.
