AMAZON VARIATION UPDATE 🚨
It only took a decade, but you can finally edit parentages from the manage inventory section
A decade
Ten years of flat files, support cases, and crossed fingers to fix one variation family, and the answer was a screen in Manage Inventory
Do I trust it yet? No
Parentages are fragile enough already, and ghost parentage issues are the kind of mess that eats weeks to untangle
One wrong click in a brand new editor and I’m opening a support case anyway
If you try it, start with a family you can afford to break
I’ll probably keep using flat files since the variation wizard has always sucked
I can read every row before it goes live and know it won't just be a UI change
Ten years for a button and I’m still opening the spreadsheet
