Are we actually transforming with AI, or just becoming incredibly efficient at doing the same things?
At what point do we call it transformation, and when are we simply outsourcing the thinking in pursuit of efficiency?
David Sequeira and I have been debating this, so we turned the question on ourselves and looked at where our own AI habits fit across three categories:
FASTER: Is AI helping us do the same things more efficiently?
BETTER: Is it genuinely improving our capabilities?
DIFFERENT: Is it changing the way we do things altogether?
We've shared our own examples in the latest #TheAgenticFiles substack. Some from work, some from life, and a few that made us question our own habits.
But two people's experiences hardly make a compelling investigation.
