Last Tuesday, we hosted our third AI Lunch & Learn, this time in New York with J.P. Morgan.
Founders and operators from more than a dozen consumer brands joined us, along with investors, for a working session on where AI actually pays off across the customer journey.
Three founders each taught one stage:
Acquisition: Inez W of Gigit.ai showed that Meta now judges what happens after the click, so each ad needs its own landing page, not one generic page for all of them.
Second orders: Rahul Talari of Relvino showed that most brands send every customer the same 20% off email at the same time, when AI can now decide who gets an email, when, and with which offer.
Retention: Andrew Smith of Swapt showed that your Amazon, Walmart and TikTok Shop buyers are customers you can and should reach, starting with the insert in the box.
One question kept coming up in the room: Build or Buy? We'll share our take in our Substack.
Thank you to Carol Magalhães Isaacs, CFA, Dahlia Elsaadi and Margot Crivelli at J.P. Morgan for co-hosting, and to Pax Anthos for leading the session with me.
And thank you to everyone who joined:
