Plot twist, today is your last Black Friday planning day.
Amazon closes Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal submissions on October 20, which is tomorrow, so if the plan doesn’t exist yet, today is the day it gets built, and that is completely doable.
I went through the notice and pulled out the four checks that decide whether a deal runs or gets stuck, in the order I would do them if I only had one afternoon.
Start with your Account Health Rating in Seller Central, because open policy warnings or violations are the first thing to clear, so look at anything flagged, fix what you can today, and file appeals for the rest, since an appeal still waiting on a response is not how you want to enter submission day.
Next, open the Deals dashboard and look at your deal health status, where suppressed or at-risk deals show up, and the usual suspects are low inventory, a price that no longer meets deal requirements, or a listing that stopped being buyable, so fix the cause before you resubmit instead of just recreating the deal.
Then go through every listing you plan to attach to a deal and confirm it is active, buyable, and meets quality requirements, which means complete titles, images, and bullet points, no suppression alerts, and no missing attributes, because a catalog glitch loves to show up the moment you build a promotion around that ASIN.
Last, check that your payment method, tax information, and deposit account are current and complete, a two-minute task that gets pushed aside because it looks boring and then blocks a perfectly good plan.
Once those are green, the personalized recommendations in the Deals dashboard are built from your catalog’s performance data, so they are a good place to start before you submit.
Hope this saves you some time.
