Amazon deducts money from your account every week.

Shortages, chargebacks, price claims, CoOp discrepancies. They arrive as line items on a remittance and get filed under "finance stuff."

Wrong folder.

A shortage claim doesn't start when Amazon raises a dispute. It starts when a carton label doesn't match an ASN, or a pallet arrives at the wrong FC, or a PO is confirmed late.

A chargeback doesn't start when it hits your invoice. It starts when your packaging doesn't meet prep requirements or your routing guide is out of date.

By the time finance sees the deduction, the damage is done.

Trace every claim back to the operation that caused it. Fix it there. The refund chase is a sticking plaster.

Where does your finance team think deductions come from?
