I'd like to think of myself as an Amazon expert. I've been selling for over 25+ years, have well over $100M in my own ecommerce revenue, and managed much more than that in our agency. Yet, I still get stumped.
LinkedIn is the biggest BS-brag platform so I realize it's rare for a founder come here and undress and be transparent and vulnerable, but that's who I am.
Looking for my Amazon growth experts. This is the Keepa chart on a client's hero ASIN that, sadly, appears that we (the agency) crashed. We began managing this client August 1, and the the HERO ASIN below started losing BSR. Now let me say that the PPC was extremely inefficient, so we took the overall ACOS/TACOS down considerably and removed a ton of wasted ad spend. So, a slight loss of BSR was to be expected, as the brand didn't want sales at all costs, but wanted profitability.
The real nose dive occurred around Sept 8-9. During this time period, we saw a few PPC anomalies across multiple accounts, weird stuff, from bid changes we coudln't track, complete removal of TOS multipliers, campaigns getting paused - still trying to uncover that source. However, nothing significant that wasn't corrected.
Around Sept 9 we began transitioning this ASIN to new campaigns, while keeping the seasoned older ones active.
What we saw was massive loss of impressions.
Once we restored all the old campaigns back to their original settings, impressions came back, but TOS placement vanished, regardless of multiplier.
I've seen a hero ASIN crash plenty of times and all the normal recovery steps aren't working.
What we did w/ PPC was NOT this significant, it should NOT have made this drastic of a nosedive, and now we're pushing PPC extremely aggressively, and it's not helping.
HELP ME TROUBLESHOOT THIS!
Already recommended an immediate Best Deal (ASIN qualifies) and our agency is offering to cover the cost. Awaiting client approval.
