Two Amazon Q4 dates land this week, and both affect holiday margins.

October 14: Last day for AWD inventory to arrive in time for Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

October 15: Holiday peak fulfillment fees kick in.

What sellers need to know:

→ Inventory deadlines: For FBA, Amazon recommends shipments arrive by October 21 if you’re using minimal shipment splits, or October 28 with Amazon-optimized splits.

→ Higher fulfillment costs: Peak fees stick around until January 14, 2027, and cover FBA, Remote Fulfillment, MCF, and Buy with Prime. Fuel and logistics surcharges get added on top.

→ Late inventory is a gamble: Amazon will still take shipments after the recommended dates, but there’s no promise they’ll be checked in and sellable before BFCM.

What to check now:

🔹Where your inbound shipments actually are, especially anything headed to AWD.

🔹Review your Q4 fulfillment cost assumptions.

🔹Recalculate margins on promotions planned for the holiday period.

The bigger picture: Q4 profit comes down to logistics as much as it does to ads.
