Experienced my first RetailClub AI Festival last week and was glad I did not miss this one! ~48 hours of meeting new people and good discussions on the beach. Jenna Flateman Posner was kind enough to chat with me for a few mins to trade thoughts on what the takeaways were.

Here are the quick hits:

→ Were all still figuring out how to really out AI to work for enterprise. Fromp roduct catalog syndication, UCP betas, what conversion means for agentic commerce, still early. But the conversations this year went a level deeper. People are participating, listening, getting deeply curious in a way they couldnt a year ago.

→ The maturity curve is running in reverse. Later-career founders and operators are leaning into AI harder, while some younger founders are more cautious. Not what I expected.→ But younger founders are more fluid. They dont care exactly how they attack the market, they just find the right niche and pivot fast. Thats a real edge.

→ The winning combo is both: legacy experience plus fearless new-founder energy. We have to come together.

Much appreciation to Caroline Farley and team for inviting the In/organic Podcast to cover RetailClub. More content is on the way!
