“What a privilege it is to be exhausted by an ambition of your own choosing.”
I saw this on a friend’s Instagram story as I was coming back from a packed week of activities at #groceryshop, and it really hit me in the heart at a time when I could barely open my eyes.
In truth, I probably over committed myself at this conference, as many of us do when we are running around Mandalay Bay.
But how LUCKY am I that I get the privilege of choosing the ambition of building community with so many of my favorite people???
From The CPG Guys opening party, to the Women in eCommerce Breakfast I had the privilege of hosting with my dear friends Cristina Marinucci of SHeCOMMERCE Podcast and Lauren Livak Gilbert of The Digital Shelf Institute…. (Loved seeing you there Maya Mirt Andrea K. Leigh Virginia Marsh Katie Riddle Amanda Wobbe Heather Campain and so many other rockstars) To the numerous dinners and meetings with clients and partners including my friends who included me Profitero+. And to the ULTIMATE treat of hosting some of the world’s biggest brands for happy hour and a trip to the sphere with Peter V.S. Bond and Sri Rajagopalan and my team from ProductWind, Samir Bhavnani Mike Buckland and Grant Waller.
This was truly one for the books. And yes, I’m beyond exhausted and caught the Groceryshop cold on the way out the door, but I wouldn’t trade either for the privilege “my ambition” grants me to build relationships and be in the room with my clients (and friends) so often.
Rest well, eCommerce conference road warriors. I hope your ambitions exhaust you as delightfully as mine do. ❤️
