Welp, I quit my job!
I just wrapped up my final week at Slate before heading off on a new adventure and it’s time to make it LinkedIn Official™️.
I joined the team almost a year ago to lead social and content strategy and we’ve had such an electric run tackling nonstop content blitzes, social media conferences, speaking gigs, live events in NYC and Toronto, monthly webinars with social pros, plus SO. MANY. VIDEOS.
A few weeks after I started, Eric asked me to be the new host of our Social Social Club, and even though live events give me nauseating adrenaline rushes, it’s been a genuine highlight of my role. It turns out that once I get over the “am I going to barf?” hump, I really love public speaking and hosting.
In the spring, Slate clinched the #9 spot on Rachel Karten’s “Brands with great social” list which, IYKYK, is the unofficial People’s Choice Awards for the extremely online among us, and for me this was hugely affirming. The fact that we were up there rubbing shoulders with the likes of LOEWE, PBS, Merit, and holding our own next to Mamdani’s social team still sort of blows my mind, but it means that our content struck a chord, or resonated with you, or made a lasting impression. And what is the goal of social if not ✨impressions✨??
The team at Slate has been hilarious, whip smart, and effusive with support for the work I did but also my next chapter. Thank you to everyone for the Slack huddles, enthusiasm, and blind faith in our social strategy; it’s so much easier to do great work when you’ve got internal advocates!

Christina Le for being a fellow mom in SPAM looking out for me and my well-being. This woman moved heaven and earth to get me to my daughter’s kinder graduation on the night of a Slate event and I’ll never forget that!
Christina Pearo for being an absolute ray of sunshine, pep in my step, and beloved work wife. Your laughter is the ultimate litmus test to determine if my ideas are funny.
And Eric Stark, for being a very willing, wig-wearing participant in our schemes, and all-around great boss (despite the fact you’re younger than me).
