Sophie smashed it with her first ever Scroll Forward 🩵
It’s one thing to attend events and a completely different to run one, especially with a small team.
After running 2 fatjocials, I think I can myself a bit of an expert (joking, ofc).
But I can say this: you could never tell it was a first one.
How well she knows her community, the quality of the speakers, the people in the room - none of that happened by accident.
Sophie’s been putting in effort for more than 5 years in order for it to become such an amazing event.
And because of all of that, I left with so many ideas, my notebook (the best merch ever btw) is a mess (in the best possible way).
Some of it came from the talks, but honestly, most of it came from the conversations with other attendees.
Scroll Forward also allowed me to see faces I've followed online for ages, actually in the room. Some of them I’ve met before - and some haven’t.
+ getting recognised myself was genuinely a nice moment, and a good reminder that what I post here actually reaches people beyond the screen ðŸ˜
