First birthday as a dad to baby girl Rayna.
Celebration was simple and grounded: 2 cakes, 3 kinds of tacos, family and close friends.
When I was younger, birthdays were flashier, wilder, and had a very different definition of a good time.
This time, everyone took turns holding her, talking about life plans and the future.
It was genuine and beautiful.
Taking paternity leave during the agency's "hot" peak season isn't easy.
But I am truly enjoying stepping back and being present.
I still have that young, hungry energy, and i will be back so so soon with even more fire!
Celebrations just hit different now with my daughter here.
