If your Amazon titles are over 75 characters on Monday, Amazon decides what gets cut. Not you.
Amazon's 75 character title limit starts being enforced on Monday, and having gone through the accounts we manage over the last couple of weeks, most catalogues aren't anywhere close, usually because nobody has looked properly at the older listings since the day they went live.
The annoying part isn't the rewriting itself. It's that you have to make a judgement call on every single ASIN about what gets cut, and the thing that usually has to go is the bit people actually search for. So you end up trading compliance against searchability one listing at a time, across a few hundred of them, and it's super manual.
So I built something to do it. It takes a full catalogue, rewrites every title to fit inside the limit, and writes the matching Item Highlights field to catch whatever had to come out of the title, then hands it back as an upload ready sheet. What used to take several days now takes a few minutes, and the time I spend is on the ones where the call is genuinely close rather than on the obvious ones.
If you sell supplements or premium products on Amazon and you haven't been through your catalogue yet, message me your brand name and I'll run yours before Amazon can change them. No charge and no pitch. I'd rather see brands go into next week compliant than find out the hard way when a listing goes down.
I'll get through as many as I can, so earlier is better.
