Yesterday I said Amazon suppressions are ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜.

This next one is harder to spot.

A brand we audited had been losing organic sales on their hero SKU for three months.

Ads were converting.

Stock was healthy.

Buy box was theirs.

Reviews were strong.

Nobody could explain why organic sales had been falling.

The audit found the backend search terms had been quietly stripped.

Amazon's content compliance algorithm had flagged several keywords as non-compliant and removed them from the listing index.

The brand had been silently losing rank on every one of those terms since.

There was no notification.

No flag in Vendor Central.

No email.

The brand had been outranked on their own product for months before anyone noticed.

Reinstating the terms took a few minutes.

Rebuilding the lost rank took months.
