Lucky Energy is one of the more interesting energy drink brands I've looked at recently.

The branding is differentiated, their social content is legitimately strong + unhinged haha, and their events team is everywhere.

You can tell the team understands how to build attention and demand.

And it's translating to Amazon too.

They're already doing around $120k/month in a category that does almost $80M/month.

That's expected in a saturated market liked energy drinks.

But looking through the account, it feels like Amazon is currently being used more as an overflow channel than a true acquisition channel.

Almost all of the traffic is branded.

People discover Lucky somewhere else first, then come to Amazon to buy it.

Nothing wrong with that.

But it creates a ceiling.

Because when branded traffic softens, sales usually soften with it too.

And right now they only rank top 3 for six keywords on Amazon (all branded searches).

Very little new to brand customers are buying Lucky on Amazon right now

That's the real opportunity here.

Here's what I'd do if I was taking over the account tomorrow:

Step 1: Fix the listings and image stacks.

The Amazon content doesn't reflect how strong the brand actually is on social. This is an $80M/month category. Content has to absolutely crush on mobile.

Step 2: Translate the social strategy into Amazon.

Lucky already knows how to create attention. Now it's about adapting that creative and messaging to convert non-branded shoppers on Amazon.

Step 3: Build an aggressive non-branded ranking strategy.

promotions, deals, and keyword pushes.

We can drive order velocity intentionally.

Because 69% of Amazon searches don't include a brand name.

The biggest opportunity isn't getting more people to search "lucky energy."

It's winning customers who were never looking for Lucky in the first place.

Christopher Taylor, Dan Zacka, and Matthew Rickert your social content is unhinged (compliment). Let's make Amazon just as lucky fck'd.
