I’ve been on an "AI Diet" for two weeks now.

I recently heard Emma Schermer Tamir use this term, and it perfectly sums up what I’ve been doing.

Lately, LinkedIn has been giving me the "ick." Every scroll is another post about how you can "create a brand in 1 minute." I tried those shortcuts. And btw, they aren't true. Shocking. I know.

As someone who has built 500+ listings over the last 6 years, I’ll be honest: I got discouraged. I felt like my craft was being replaced by soulless automation. It started affecting my mental health.

So, I stopped.

I stopped following the "AI-only" gurus.

I stopped refreshing the feeds that made me feel replaceable.

Here is what 14 days of an “AI Diet” streak taught me:

AI is part of our lives, but it will never beat the human feel. Your authenticity and your own voice are the only things that actually move people.

To get back to my basics, I’ve committed to 4 things:

🫶🏻 Writing with my own hands. Using my own thoughts and my own messiness.

🫶🏻 Not using AI at all. At least for a while, to prove I still have it.

🫶🏻 Inner child work. Doing things with my hands that actually make me happy.

🫶🏻 Family time. Being fully present and away from the "AI business" noise.

My mental health is better and most importantly, my brain is back.
