I keep coming back to the same realization with MCPs: the tech is powerful, but the install is still a roadblock for a lot of people.
For someone technical, manually setting up an MCP server or adapter might not be a big deal. But for someone less technical, that setup can easily turn into 30 minutes of copying commands, editing config files, touching code, and hoping everything connects correctly.
That is a problem, because the value of MCPs is not in the setup. The value is in what happens after setup.
It is being able to chat with your data. It is being able to connect tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or Claude Code to the software you already use. It is being able to ask better questions, pull better context, and make better decisions without bouncing between dashboards all day.
That is the next layer I’m working on: MCPB packages for each adapter.
The goal is simple: take something that might take 30 minutes manually and keep shrinking it. First to 15 minutes. Then closer to 5. Eventually, as close to one-click as possible.
Because adoption does not happen when the setup feels intimidating. Adoption happens when people can get in, connect their tools, and immediately see the value.
Everyone should have the ability to easily chat with their data. That is the part I’m going after.
