Everyone is solving for something different with MCPs and automations.
Some people want their data piped into a chat. Some want automated reports on a schedule. Some want to ask one-off questions and get an answer. Some want all of the above.
Here's what I've noticed: the friction isn't in asking — it's in getting to the data.
Dashboards are going away. Not tomorrow, but eventually. They're being replaced by chat interfaces that pull data through MCPs. You ask, it answers. You schedule, it reports. You come back, it has context.
But here's the question I keep turning over: does human strategy go away?
I don't think so. The strategy still matters. The data is just closer to the decision now. The MCP is the pipe — the judgment is still yours... for now.
What I've seen work: live artifacts in Claude. Connect your data sources once, and now when you come back you can ask "what changed?" or "run that report again" — and it pulls fresh. Less friction. More velocity.
The adoption is coming. Early? Maybe. But I've seen it work in real workflows, not just demos. That's enough for me.
