Amazon is expanding its direct-from-China platform Haul into 25+ markets as "Bazaar," while Temu targets 50% local warehouse fulfillment in key markets.

The great supply chain reversal is accelerating.

Two years ago, strategies were clear: Amazon owned fast delivery through FBA, while Temu and Shein disrupted with cheap goods shipped directly from Chinese factories.

Today, both are racing toward what the other perfected.

Some Temu orders now arrive in two days instead of two weeks. Meanwhile, Amazon launched Haul (recently expanded as Bazaar) shipping directly from China.

The forcing function: de minimis exemptions are disappearing. The U.S. suspended its $800 threshold in May 2025. The EU agreed to end its €150 exemption by 2028.

Neither abandons its core, but both admit modern retail demands supply chain flexibility, not purity.
