Amazon just released its final 2025 holiday roadmap.

And this year’s stakes are higher.

Amazon expects Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday to set new sales records this year. But for sellers, success depends less on “event hype” and more on operational readiness.

So even though this looks like the usual seasonal prep: earlier ship dates, premium deals, higher visibility, you should keep in mind that Amazon is tightening the timeline and rewarding discount depth + inventory readiness like never before.

Key FBA Deadlines

✅ Prime Big Deal Days (October event)

• AWD: August 29

• FBA minimal splits: September 10

• FBA optimized splits: September 19

✅ Black Friday & Cyber Monday

• AWD: October 9

• FBA minimal splits: October 20

• FBA optimized splits: October 30

⚠️ New this year: Since August 18, Amazon has implemented 7-day delivery windows for non-partnered carriers. Shipments arriving within their scheduled window receive priority processing. Miss the window, and you risk appointment delays that could quietly kill deal eligibility, even if you ship “on time.”

Holiday Fees (October 15, 2025 – January 14, 2026)

• Apply to FBA, Remote Fulfillment, MCF, and Buy with Prime

• Same peak fulfillment surcharges as last year, no new increases, but the timeline is unchanged.

• Plan cash flow carefully since these surcharges layer on top of rising ad spend.

Deals That Matter

🔵 Best Deals → 15%+ off, $1,000 fee. Go 30%+ off and Amazon boosts homepage, event page, and merchandising visibility.

Deadlines: September 12 (Prime Big Deal Days) | October 28 (BFCM)

🔵 Lightning Deals → 20%+ off, $500 fee

Deadlines match Best Deals

🔵 Prime Exclusive Discounts (PED) → 15%+ off, $100 fee for Prime Big Deal Days, $245 for BFCM

BFCM PED submissions open September 10

🔵 Coupons → 5%+ off, $5 per coupon + 2.5% of sales

Submissions open once BFCM dates are finalized

My takeaway:

Early inventory. Deeper discounts. Or no deal.

If your operations, pricing, and deal strategy aren’t fully aligned, you risk getting sidelined in Amazon’s biggest quarter of the year.
