Ever noticed how

Amazon

is increasingly highlighting what’s happening OUTSIDE of

Amazon

?

A few recent examples I’ve seen:

- ‘Allure Winner’ badge (beauty editor award)

- ‘Seen on social media’ widget (viral traction off-Amazon)

These badges are popping up more and more in search results.

They're Amazon's way of telling shoppers: ‘This product has already won consumer trust somewhere else.’

Why is Amazon doing this?

Because they know many buying decisions don’t start on Amazon anymore.

Shoppers discover products on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube…

By the time they get to Amazon, they’re not always looking to browse - they’re looking to validate.

Badges like these accelerate the path to purchase.

They give credibility to newer brands.

And they help Amazon surface what’s trending in the wider world, not just what's winning in the algorithm.
