In its press release this afternoon, Amazon announced that 250 million customers have used Rufus this year, and those using it are 60% more likely to complete a purchase.
This data doesn’t give us ALL the information we want to know about consumer adoption of Rufus (and the number is a fraction of the 800 million weekly users ChatGPT has reported), but nonetheless, if you’re responsible for PDPs, it’s hard to ignore.
At a minimum, testing and learning should be happening.
Asking questions like:
Are we showing up in relevant queries the way we want?
Are our product pages structured in a way Rufus understands?
Are we feeding it the right data to surface our products in AI-driven recommendations?
