While shopping on Amazon.fr, I noticed something powerful — Amazon is now clearly displaying promotional savings directly within the shopping basket. In this example, it highlights: “Save €25 when you buy €249 of select items”…right below the product in the basket itself. Why this matters for sellers:1. High Visibility:The offer is shown at the decision-making stage — right before checkout — making it far more likely to influence buyers to add more to their cart.2. Incentivises Larger Orders:Shoppers who were about to check out with 1 or 2 items may now browse additional eligible products just to unlock the savings — pushing up AOV (Average Order Value).3. Grouped Promotions:If you're a brand with multiple ASINs, you can group them into these kinds of promotions to cross-sell, clear inventory, or drive volume across a product line.4. Conversion Booster:Compared to coupons buried on a product page, this type of basket-level incentive is a final-nudge tactic — and it's effective. For brands and sellers:If you're not using “Buy X, Save Y” or multi-ASIN bundle promotions, you’re likely leaving money on the table. These tactics not only increase basket size — they also improve your session conversion rate and help shift more units without dropping list price.
