šØ Just because you can⦠doesnāt mean you should.
Iāve been on so many calls where brands want to perfect:
š¶ Bid strategies down to the minute (ā3:33 a.m. during a full moonā š)
š¶ Incrementality models that rival PhD dissertations
š¶ Household penetration analysis that sounds great in theory but doesn't move the needle
Hereās the truth:
š If your foundations arenāt right, none of those āadvancedā tactics matter.
Too often I review accounts that want to master AMC and LTV modeling, yet they donāt even know where their brand spend is going or which keywords theyāre targeting.
On the flip side, smaller brands obsess over dayparting and bid perfection, when most shoppers donāt purchase within 30 seconds of clicking on an ad. Theyāre browsing, building carts, comparing.
The real questions are:
1ļøā£ How do you bring customer psychology back into your Amazon strategy?
2ļøā£ How strong is your foundation to support growth before layering on complexity?
This is where an agency can add huge value, not by chasing shiny objects, but by auditing where you are and allocating resources to what actually drives growth.
So before you pour energy into perfecting your bid models, ask yourself:
š Do I really need that level of complexity right now?
š Or would that time be better spent on product launches, R&D, and foundational ad structure?
Whatās a ājust because you can, doesnāt mean you shouldā example youāve seen in Amazon ads? Drop it in the comments ā¬ļø
