Walking into work earlier this week, I saw something that made me pause โฆ our beautiful ๐๐ผ๐ฑ๐๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ was undergoing maintenance. The Courtyard is the centerpiece of our community-building effortsโ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ@๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ, and ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฎ๐๐, to name just a fewโand a gathering place for people throughout the year.
Earlier this summer and through the fall, there were renovations in ๐๐ฑ๐ฎ๐บ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น and ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น. The work was unglamorous and unheralded. Yet, without that effort, we would not have 25+ additional offices, a revitalized Dodson Lounge (hosting Boomer!), or events like Price Career Month.
We often sing the praises of success, post pictures of prizes, and celebrate moments in the limelight. And we should. But behind those moments are people who prepared the ground, paid attention to the details, and sweated in the sun to make it all possible.
Here's a shoutout to the invisible work that makes so much of what we celebrate possible at University of Oklahoma - Price College of Business.
