If your best-selling product is sitting at 4.3 stars going into the holidays... look out.

We've seen brands lose anywhere from 10% to 50% of their sales when they slip from 4.3 to 4.2. Once the rating drops, shoppers see four stars on the search page (Amazon either rounds up or down) and scroll right past you.

And if it happens around Black Friday or Christmas, your competitor moves above you during the weeks that matter most.

So my advice is to get to 4.4 before the busy season hits. That gives you room to absorb a bad week.

Here's how I'd get there:

Ask every customer for a review the white-hat way, through Amazon's own Request a Review button. Clicking it order by order gets old fast, so use a tool like Reviewy to send those requests automatically on the day you choose after delivery.

Monitor your listings so you see new critical reviews as soon as they land.

File cases on the reviews that break Amazon's guidelines. That's what we do at TraceFuse®. We find the violations and build the cases, and Amazon makes the final call.

If you wait for the drop, you'll be playing catch-up during the most expensive weeks of the year.

Where are your top ASINs sitting right now?
