Some companies make A LOT of money simply because we're too busy to stop paying

Some companies make A LOT of money simply because we're too busy to stop paying them.

Subscriptions we forgot to cancel.

Insurance that keeps getting more expensive.

Products we reorder without checking if there's something better.

AI agents are starting to change that.

Meta's Muse can help negotiate bills. And Amazon just reported that 400M+ customers used Alexa for Shopping over the past year. It can compare products and find better deals.

Now imagine simply telling your AI:

"Before I reorder anything, check if I'm still getting the best value."

For those of us in ecommerce, this raises an interesting question:

What happens to customer loyalty when switching brands becomes almost effortless?

A lot of repeat purchasing comes down to habit and convenience.

I think AI agents are changing that. CPG brands may soon have to earn EVERY purchase, not just the first one.

And I actually think that's a good thing for consumers AND brands making genuinely great products.

Would you trust an AI agent to review your regular purchases and recommend when it's worth switching?

Y/N?
