How do you know if people actually remember your brand? 🧠

I asked Duncan Snowden, co-founder of Palace Project, on this week's PPC Den. Duncan has built brands for Google, PlayStation, Samsung and Volkswagen, and he gave me a golden rule I can't stop thinking about: be skeptical of a really low ACoS. It might be Amazon taking credit for a sale that was coming your way anyway.

So what should you watch instead? 2 metrics:

1. Share of sales from branded searches. Pull it from the ad reports and the Brand Registry report. It tells you how well-remembered a brand is.

2. Branded search volume over time.

I love the question Duncan left me with: what memories are we creating for people?

Also, I learned people put peas on toast. I'm still processing that one.

Thanks for coming on The PPC Den, Duncan! 🦡
