I'm sleeping outside overnight in the cold of Philly for the 15th year to raise money for homeless youth in our city, but this year will be different than all the rest, and I'm asking you to help me do more good for people like William...
You see the guy in this photo? He works at Seer now. He was once a resident at the covenant house, when he had to exit a bad situation. Let me tell you how we met... I am on the board and one of our board members Brian Rueger said to me "hey Wil, there's a guy who is at "the cov" who seems like a great person who is getting certified in IT, will you meet with him? I said sure, and the rest is history...
It changed both of our lives.
He went from:
Emergency housing (shelter, showers, food, safety) to
Independent living (long term housing, skill building, financial literacy) to
HIS OWN PLACE!! As of a month ago, for the first time in his life his own apartment!!!!!
If you have donated in the past, you might not know the names of the young people you are helping... now you do. William is well employed at Seer helping us with laptop roll outs, AI security stuff, you name it. THIS story happens for hundreds of our young people, but this one I am close to in ways I haven't been before, so I've gotten to see what happens when a company "finds a way" for young people who are "finding their way". I hope you support me this year in my sleepout, so we (Seer) can help support the next story like this.
People will say "your donation changes lives" I'm telling you I've witnessed a life, actually changed and I'm more inspired than ever.
