The first metric I'd watch in 6 Amazon categories.

I've run ads in supplements, grocery apparel, and many others. The ad report shouldn't look the same for every category:

CAC:LTV. What a new customer costs, and is work after the first order, and what they buy next

๐—š๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†: repeat purchases, with a lot less brand loyalty. Sample packs matter here, and getting into retail stores is often the bigger growth lever.

๐—•๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐˜๐˜†: conversion rate, built on social proof. Once people find something they like, they stick with it.

๐—ฃ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€: return rate. I've bought plenty of harnesses that didn't fit. They went back.

Returns. Give the returns time to land before you call a campaign a winner, and put a size guide in the images.

Seasonality and timing. Q1 is the big pop, but the first two weeks of January are usually soft.

Most people judge every account strictly based on ACOS.

I start with the number that matches how that customer actually buys.

Which category are you in?
