My takeaway:

Familiarity with industry softwares is often a huge boost. I had an intern get a major role simply by sharing SmartScout data with their manager. But now AI tools is probably that center piece.

TikTok Shop has become its own job. A year ago, it was a side project for the social team. Now P&G and Best Choice are paying $90K–$120K for someone who owns it full-time.

Pay mostly lands between $80K and $150K. Strong marketplace operators are still underpaid compared with the revenue they manage. I expect that gap to close as more brands get 40%+ of revenue from marketplaces.
