It is Coke. You get that in 50 milliseconds.
It is a Special Edition. Easy to guess from the festive gold.
The problem? You cannot read what it actually is.
Buried on that can in red on gold script is "Creamy Vanilla". TINY!!!
Unless you are projecting this onto an IMAX screen, nobody browsing on mobile can decipher that variant text. And on the shop in your pocket, a glance is all you get.
When we ran this through RHINO glance-readability testing, the data confirmed what your eyes already know:
❌ "Creamy Vanilla": 11% glance-readability (CRITICAL FAIL)
❌ "Holiday": 16% glance-readability (FAIL)
❌ "Vanilla": 8% glance-readability (CRITICAL FAIL)
Hey Coke...why invest millions launching a Holiday Limited Edition flavour if shoppers from TikTok Shop to Target cannot tell what they are buying?
To win across all 4 shelves today:
1. Physical
2. Digital
3. LLM / Agentic
4. Social
Demand glance-readability before artwork gets signed off.
It's a new KPI for ALL 4 shelves. Your design agency hasn't clocked that yet.
If a shopper cannot read the variant in a fast scroll, they do not squint. They scroll past.
Readability Drives Revenue. Unreadable is unbuyable.
