She cut ad spend 52% and kept the revenue.

And she has about three years' experience.

She would not survive the first filter on most job specs I get sent.

One category. Seven weeks. Measured against the same window a year earlier.

-> Ad spend down 52% YoY, holding 86% of prior-year revenue

-> ROAS 2.03 to 3.70

-> CPC $3.06 to $2.05

-> $100K+ saved on a single category in 7 weeks

The client is a US multi-brand consumer goods distributor. Biggest brand does $40M+ a year.

The mechanism is unglamorous. She killed the spend that was never going to convert and defended the terms that were. That is most of the job.

From their own quarterly review: "Highly detail-oriented — can be given a goal with minimal direction and come back with a solution."

Everyone writes 8+ years in the spec.

Then the person who actually moves the number has three.

P.S. What is the highest years-of-experience number you have ever put in a job spec, honestly? 🙃
