The same night Texas elected a Democrat, Russia fired 365 weapons at Ukraine's energy grid.
As I sit in my chair in Kyiv during another air raid alert in the middle of the night, without power or water, catching up on the election results, news, and media's reactions, I hope we remember the cost of our actions and the consequences of our inaction.
Maneuvering through some of our biggest foreign policy moments will require bipartisan, old-fashioned teamwork. Let's not forget who we are and what we can do as a great country when we work together.
