I’m making the scariest leap of my life 😱
The UK has been my home since I was born.
Now I’m swapping it for Thailand 🐘
I’ve been laid off five times in five years.
Long stretches of unemployment left me so unwell that I ended up in a psychiatric unit.
I’ve battled depression, anxiety and financial ruin.
Now I’ve packed up my life and moved to the other side of the world.
There’s no shiny corporate job or safety net waiting for me 6,000 miles away.
Am I excited? Absolutely.
Am I scared? You bet I am.
But there’s something that scares me even more than starting over:
🧓🏻 Getting to the end of my life and wondering what might’ve been
The cost of living in the UK has reached a point where I feel like I’m surviving rather than living.
And after everything life has thrown at me, I’ve learned something:
👉🏼 You can spend your whole life waiting until you feel ready.
Until you’ve got enough money.
Until you find a partner.
Until you’ve got a nice house.
Until everything falls into place.
But that day might never come.
So ask out that person you’ve fancied for ages.
Start the business.
Move to the country you’ve always dreamed of living in.
Do it scared.
Because if it scares you, maybe it’s the risk you need to take.
