Haven't posted much lately. Still been pretty heads down building k2o with the team.
We are now about 7 months in and have crossed $12.5M in sales since launching in April. Pretty incredible to think about how far we have come in such a short period of time.
A few updates and things I have been thinking about:
Retail is a whole new chapter for us. We launched into Target and Walmart over the last couple of months. Target has been performing really well out of the gate, doing pretty strong units per store per week. Walmart has been a slower start, but we are working really hard to build momentum there.
Getting into retail is one thing. Getting products to actually sell off the shelf is a completely different challenge. As a born and raised marketer it's something I've always believed in, but it's always a humbling reminder that distribution isn't the finish line.
We are finally starting to build out the product portfolio. We just launched our second product, Hair Growth Hydration Mix and have a bunch of new flavors and products coming over the next few months.
Innovation is such an important part of building a great consumer brand. But I have also learned that launching more products isn't necessarily the answer. You have to keep making your existing products better, too. We made huge strides in improving our Advanced Skin Hydration both in terms of flavor and mixability.
Our marketing engine continues to evolve. TikTok creators have been a huge part of our growth and we are now working on building deeper relationships with our best creators while expanding more into Meta.
I still think there is a tremendous amount of opportunity here. We haven't figured it all out yet, but that's always part of the game and part of the fun.
The team continues to grow. We are now 13 people and I couldn't be more proud of everyone. Building a business this quickly requires people who are willing to jump in, solve problems, help each other and do things that aren't necessarily in their job description. Which is exactly the kind of team we have built.
Still so much work to do and so many things we can improve.
But I genuinely believe we are building something really special here.
Huge thank you to our team, partners, retailers, creators, friends and family who have helped us get this far.
Grateful for everyone and so excited for what is ahead!
