One of the biggest mistakes aspiring entrepreneurs make is believing their first

One of the biggest mistakes aspiring entrepreneurs make is believing their first product needs to be perfect.
It doesn't.
And some of the most successful consumer brands demonstrate exactly why.
Walk through Target today and you'll see brands that built their initial audiences online before expanding into major retail distribution.
Native is an example I like to point to.
The founder started with a concept, brought it to market, collected customer feedback, and continued refining the product.
That process helped create a brand with opportunities far beyond its original online presence.
And there's an important lesson in that story.
You can spend years trying to develop what you believe is the perfect product.
But until real customers start buying and using it, you're still making assumptions.
You don't fully know what customers value.
You don't know which features they'll respond to.
And you don't know what improvements could make your product more competitive.
That's why I believe iteration is such an important part of building a brand.
Start with a product that solves a real problem.
Get it into the market.
Listen carefully to what customers tell you.
Use that information to make the next version better.
Then keep repeating the process.
Amazon and other ecommerce platforms can provide an opportunity to learn from actual customer behavior before pursuing broader distribution.
And as the product improves and the brand develops, opportunities for expansion may follow.
The goal shouldn't be to launch something once and hope it's successful forever.
It should be to build a business that continues learning and improving.
Because the first version of your product is only the beginning.
For the entrepreneurs here, what's one thing customer feedback taught you that you never would have anticipated before launching?
