Remember when Airbnb was the affordable alternative?
You could rent an entire house for what you'd spend on a hotel room, have a kitchen, multiple bedrooms, and actually feel like you were getting a great deal.
Now you find a place advertised for $175 a night, and by the time you add cleaning fees, service charges, and taxes, you're wondering how the hell your weekend getaway turned into a mortgage payment.
And then there's the checkout process.
Strip the beds.
Start the laundry.
Wash the dishes.
Take out the trash.
Make sure everything is exactly how the host wants it.
All while paying a cleaning fee.
WHAT?
Imagine checking out of a Marriott and the front desk handing you a list of chores before they'll let you leave.
People would lose their minds.
