Deep pockets DON'T always buy organic rank on Amazon. Pouring money into the top

Deep pockets DON'T always buy organic rank on Amazon.
Pouring money into the top keyword in your niche, and it doesn't convert above the average?
You might end up ranking lower.
A lot of people think you rank on a keyword because you can afford to outspend everyone on it.
If you funnel money into a keyword and the clicks don't convert, you're telling Amazon the opposite of what you want: this product doesn't convert here, rank it lower.
Spend on a keyword still matters. Here's what it actually buys:
→ On a competitive term where you're nowhere on page one organically, you'll very likely never get there without ads on it
→ The spend pays for Amazon to test your product on that term
→ If the test shows you're relevant, Amazon starts moving you up
The test depends on whether shoppers like you and whether Amazon likes you.
🔹 Shoppers: conversion rate, return rate, and reviews and ratings compared with the products around you.
🔹 Amazon: staying in stock, healthy margins, a good customer experience.
Nobody outside Amazon knows the exact algorithm.
But I've seen this play out again and again: spend through a ridiculous ACOS to win the paid placements, and a product that's weak next to the ones ranking still never reaches the top organically.
Spend gets you the test. Conversion wins it.
