Build yourself an AI employee.
One function at a time.
The mistake almost everyone makes:
Trying to get one AI to do a whole job.
It comes out as mush.
The fix is the opposite.
One AI employee = one function.
Done well. Tested. Reliable.
Here's the shift that changed how I work:
A workflow isn't one task.
It's 20 tasks stacked together.
Trying to make one AI do all of it = chaos.
Breaking it into single functions = a system that holds.
So instead of automating "PPC," I set up:
✅ One employee that analyzes search terms and recommends negatives
✅ One that reviews budget pacing and flags overspend
✅ One that harvests keywords with the reasoning attached
Each with a clear trigger, clear inputs, a clear "done."
The part most people miss:
You don't start by writing instructions.
You start by talking.
Record yourself explaining the task out loud for 20 minutes — like training a new hire.
The decision logic (WHY you negate a keyword vs. isolate it) is the gold.
Feed that transcript to Claude. It writes the structured instructions for you.
Then you build it inside a free Claude Project:
✅ 10 minutes to set up
✅ You control exactly what data goes in
✅ It remembers your corrections and improves every run
✅ You refine until it hits 85% quality, then it's ready to scale
And to be clear about what this actually does:
It takes the repetitive grunt work off your plate.
The thinking, the judgment, the final call — still yours.
This isn't about doing less work.
It's about spending your hours on the work that actually needs a human.
