We started scaling casualty evacuation with ground robots late last year. Many lives saved.

Now evacuation is moving into the air.

Heavy drones are already doing it. In October, a Heavy Shot "Ayudag 6" carried a wounded infantryman of the 30th Mechanized Brigade over 15 km from a position cut off by the enemy. Stargate flew almost 30 km one way and back under jamming, with no GPS.

Proud to see my former colleagues at BRAVE1 driving this together with the MoD.

This is probably the tech with most clear dual-use potential.

A drone that can lift 130 kg and fly through a GPS denied environment won't stay on the battlefield. Think about:

• Mountain rescue where helicopters can't land

• Floods and earthquakes when roads are gone

• Wildfires too dangerous for crews

• Offshore platforms and ships at sea

• Remote regions hours away from the nearest hospital

Same problem everywhere: help can't reach the person.

This one is worth watching closely as with this tech flying cars may come not only from Tesla 👀
