The unconventional 4-step dayparting setup I use on accounts spending >$1M/month

Some people set a separate bid for every hour of every day.

I don't.

Conversion rate doesn't swing wildly from one hour to the next. It follows the broader shopper patterns on the platform.

CVR steadily rises 15-20% in the mornings, then tapers throughout the day, and is at it's lowest late in the evening or early mornings.

1️⃣ Pull 30 to 60 days of hourly campaign data

2️⃣ Group the day into blocks of hours

3️⃣ Compare each block's conversion rate to the average, and set the bid adjustment on that relative difference

4️⃣ Use common sense. Sometimes you should start softer than the math tells you, especially if you have low data confidence. If it says +45%, I might start at 15 to 20% and give it a week or two.

That's the AdLabs dayparting grid on my screen.

In it, you choose how to set up your dayparting rules

The scheduled changes run every hour, helping you capture more sales when conversion is highest, and pull back when traffic gets browsy.

The adjustments come from the RPC changes throughout the day, and it has built-in mechanisms to prevent optimizing on low data.
