I never signed up to chase customers for reviews, now we have to. A new product

I never signed up to chase customers for reviews, now we have to.

A new product goes live, the formula is dialed in, the packaging looks great, and then it sits at 4 reviews while a competitor with a worse product has 900.

Customers who loved it mostly forget to leave a review, and nobody has time to build a follow-up system just to remind them.

Amazon just announced Review Requests, an ad format that reaches people who recently bought your product and invites them to rate it while they are already shopping on Amazon.

I read through the announcement so you do not have to, and here is what stood out:

➡️ Launch Review Requests in open beta in the United States in late October 2026

➡️ Create campaigns in Amazon Ads Agent with the same bidding and budget controls as your other ad campaigns

➡️ Expect customers to rate in one click, with an optional written review that can include photos or video

➡️ Check that your product has fewer than 1,000 total ratings and reviews, since campaigns pause automatically at that point

➡️ Confirm your account is in good standing with no active policy violations

Amazon’s early tests reported three times as many ratings and reviews per week, which is a result worth watching but not a promise for every category.

The reviews live on your detail page, so every future shopper sees them, not only the people who saw the ad.

Hope this saves you some time.
