look, mom, I’m on stage.
well, not a proper stage. it was the floor, but there was a podium, so I’m counting it.
last week I had my first speaking gig at GrowthCon, a 3-hour workshop on Social Media Planning and Strategy with AI. I spent the days before rehearsing the flow, double-checking every setup step, and making peace with the fact that something would probably break live. walking in, I was proud and a bit nervous, the way you are with anything you do for the first time.
the plan was to go from strategy to real posts, built live with Claude and the Planable MCP. about twenty minutes in, the questions started and didn’t stop. good ones too, the kind you can’t answer from a slide. so I left the script more than I’d like to admit, and those detours ended up being the best parts of the morning.
somewhere in between I met some great people, experts from very different corners of marketing, and had the kind of hallway conversations that make you rethink half your notes.
thank you to the GrowthCon team for the invite and for trusting a first-timer with 3 hours of your agenda. and thank you to everyone who showed up, stayed until the end, and kept me on my toes. you made it a lot easier than I expected.
photo 2 is me looking at the slides like they owe me money.
anyway. ready for the next one.
