I think it’s really cool to see a brand like Liquid Death pop up in the toy section at Target with a collab with CarTuned. This isn’t a collab I was expecting to see and I’m not sure how long the partnership has been in lace but I think it’s dope.

Being a brand in 2026 means taking chances and I think Liquid Death and CarTuned crushed it on this. Liquid Death as a whole is a straight up Ted talk on how to grow a brand through fresh packaging, effective marketing, and an assortment that stays current while also pushes the envelope to get in new areas at retail.

Liquid Death did $10M in 2020. They do over $300M now and are still privately owned. And when you are privately owned you can be creative and innovative in spaces most big brands never even thought of….

And look at CarTuned, they have created really good real estate at Target on those pegs… collectible cars as a whole wins as both kids and adults look for new pickups for that collection.

Where am I going with all of this? I’m just saying you have to take chances with your marketing… with your packaging… with your photography… with your identity… with your assortment. If you stay stagnant, challenger brands are coming after your market share and in this digital era, you can lose space and attention quickly if you don’t stay fresh…
