For years, Dove lovers have been asking us to bottle the unmistakable scent of the Original Beauty Bar, a scent that's been shared across generations. For me, it's my mom's bathroom when I was a child, and even the morning of my wedding.
So… we did.
Meet Dove Original Fragrance, our first-ever fine fragrance. It's made for the community who asked for it and available as a one-time, limited-edition social drop.
What I love most is where this idea came from. It didn't start with a brief. It started in the comments, posts, DMs and Reddit threads from our community. Instead of simply appreciating the love for the Beauty Bar, our team saw it as an invitation to create something new. That's what listening to your community really looks like.
Every detail of Dove Original Fragrance was designed with intent. The glass bottle mirrors the iconic shape of the Dove Beauty Bar and is topped with a sculptural gold Dove bird cap. We're launching at a special community price of $19.57, a nod to 1957, the year the Beauty Bar was born. The scent itself? It might be the only fragrance you know before you even smell it. Developed with renowned fragrance expert Ann Gottlieb, it captures the Beauty Bar's signature scent in a soft, clean and familiar fine fragrance.
When people already have a strong emotional connection to a brand, our job is to find new ways for them to experience it. This launch does just that. It takes a nostalgic scent that holds so many beauty memories and gives the community who has loved it for generations a new way to wear it every day.
