No sale. No customer. No invoice. Yet the EU may still expect you to report a transaction!
When Amazon moves your inventory from Germany to Poland, for example, it can create VAT reporting obligations in BOTH countries.
Heres what sellers need to know:
โ Country of departure: Report the stock movement as a deemed intra-EU supply.
โ Country of arrival: Report the corresponding acquisition and make sure you have the required VAT registration.
โ OSS wont save you: The One Stop Shop doesn't normally cover transfers of your own inventory between EU warehouses.
And heres the kicker: Even if no VAT is ultimately payable, the reporting obligations may still apply.
