Amazon's PO delivery windows are one of life's little tests in Q4.
Like flat pack furniture, and that weird extra screw you always get?
POs come through on a Wednesday and need delivering by Monday.
On paper, lovely. In reality you're trying to pick, pack, ship and get a delivery slot in a couple of days, the good ones are long gone, and someone's chasing a haulier at 4pm on a Friday with one foot out the door for the pub.
The annoying part is I often see vendor ship more than 90% of orders same day or next day. Ops are flying it's just that the window is a bit tight, and an extra 24 to 48 hours would change everything (particularly during peak).
So here's a friendly reminder to ask for it. Worst case, Amazon says no and you've lost nothing. Quick tip - ask for a lead time/delivery window extension for a fixed period..not a complete rewrite of your agreed terms.
Loads of vendors never ask Amazon for anything outside of the AVN, as if there's a one request a year rule that's never questioned.
